There are many different directories you may submit to which will allow you to tell a little bit about what your company does as well as post a link to your companies website. Begin by getting your company into some of the better known directories like Dmoz and Yahoo. You need to know though, that some directories ask for fees to be paid and some take a lot of time to accept companies into their directories.

You may also submit to article directories such as Amazine or EzineArticles. It is a good idea to sign up for multiple article directories and get a lot of great content out there with links in it. Doing this should drive more people to your site since people who read your articles are also likely to click on your links if the content is informative and a good readguaranteed web traffic.

Using Social Media

I would suggest going out and finding blogs that focus on your product or service and post comments with your companies page link in them. If you do this, please be sure that what you are posting is a helpful comment and that the link to your site will be beneficial to those who read the blog. If the comment is not legitimate and knowledgeable, the author of the blog will more than likely not accept your comment to be posted on their blog.

Forums are another very good option if you would like to get going on several sites. The forums work much the same way as a blog does. Make sure that your comment is knowledgeable and relevant to what the forum post is about. Don't forget to add links with your content and comments. Those who are interested in what you have to say will often click through to look at your website.

Pay Per Click

There are better ways to get traffic, other than pay per click, but pay per click is not a bad idea. The downside with this is that you have to pay every time anyone clicks on your add, regardless of if they're interested in your product or not. You still have to pay, even if the interested party does not purchase a product. If you are in one of the first spots on the first page of search engines, you will be less likely to need pay per click.

Optimize

If you want to save yourself a lot of money, you could optimize your site so it will hopefully rank higher in search engines. There are many ways to go about doing this; I would suggest including your keywords whenever you can in various content. With a high-ranking site, you will be less likely to need pay per click.

Affiliate Work

Affiliates are another great way to get more people coming to your site. To have affiliates means that you are paying other people to get traffic to your website or to sell your product or service. Affiliate work is pretty simple and there's very low risk on the part of the affiliate.
